Download MyGlass 3.0 APK

Google has just released the new MyGlass 3.0 app for Android and it comes with some new features for Google Glass. Unfortunately it’s not available for those outside of US on the Play Store, so you will have to download the APK instead.

The new MyGlass 3.0 comes with an improved user interface, some bug fixes and it now allows you to share the location from Google Maps on Android directly to Google Glass, which is a very neat feature. It also allows you to connect your Glass to WiFi networks without scanning the QR code. Just find the WiFi network and enter the password on the smartphone and Glass will connect automatically. You should know that those new features may require XE17.1, which hasn’t reached everyone just yet at the time of writing.

MyGlass also allows you to track your Glass’ location, view its display directly on the smartphone through screencast. You can also view your contacts, active Glassware, setup your Glass, change the Bluetooth data connection, unlock or factory reset your Glass directly from MyGlass.

You should know that installing an apk downloaded from outside the Play Store requires you to enable Unknown sources on your smartphone. In order to do so, head over to Settings -> Security and check Unknown sources. After you download and install the app, don’t forget to make sure and uncheck the option because it can represent a security risk for your smartphone.
