The MyGlass app for Android allows your smartphone to connect to Google Glass and it brings it some new features, like turn-by-turn navigation, voice and calls, SMS messaging, and screencast.
Unfortunately the MyGlass app is only available in the US, so you will not be able to download it if you’re located somewhere else. That’s why we managed to get the APK for you, so you can download it from our website, without having to deal with the Play Store’s restrictions.
You should know that apps downloaded from outside the Play Store require you to change a setting on your Android smartphone, because you can’t install them otherwise. Head over to Settings > Security and check Unknown Sources on your Android smartphone. Then you can download the MyGlass APK and install it.
Once you download and install the MyGlass APK you will have to set it up. Open MyGlass and head over to Menu > Wifi, then select your wireless network and connect to it. Then connect the MyGlass with your smartphone using Bluetooth. Tap Menu > Devices, then select your Google Glass device and tap Pair.
Once you’ve paired Google Glass with your smartphone through MyGlass, you can now send and receive SMS on your Glass.
You can also use screencast to view your Glass display on your Android smartphone or tablet. To launch screencast, open the menu and tap Screencast. If your devices are paired, screencast will start automatically, otherwise you will get a QR code that you have to scan with Glass in order to pair them.
If you encounter any issues with the MyGlass APK, let us know and we will do our best to help you.
Update: MyGlass 3.0 apk is out.
